Running behind kids with a bowl of food is a common sight in every household. What if one day, the kids started running towards their food? This may seems like fantasy, but in actuality, it’s quite achievable with just a little help from the kids’ parents. Just about every family has picky eaters at home who sprint away at the sight of homemade healthy foods. Having said that, we bring to you a trick that will help you turn the tables. And this magic wand is called ‘Hunger Games’. Nope; we aren’t talking about that movie here; but rather, a real life race for tasty and nutritious food. Here’s how you can make eating fun - simply by incorporating a little challenge into the picture! Get your kid to race with you and win a bowl of yummy Top Ramen Atta Noodles. Here are few racing ideas that can be played indoors:
Lemon and spoon race: Each one places a lemon on a spoon, and carries it in their mouth to the finish line. The one who drops loses the game. Make sure you don’t practice it beforehand; or your child may not have any shots at winning!
Change your Avatar: Place a pile of clothes at the finish line and run up to it. Wear them over your clothes and run back to the starting point. The one who finishes first gets to dig into a bowl of mouth-watering Top Ramen Noodles. Remember not to get too carried away by the scent of the noodles, and don’t forget to crown your kiddo as the champion!
Hula Hoop spins: Make your child loop a hula hoop while racing to the finish line. However, we warn you that a lot of giggling might weaken your kid’s chances at winning, so try your level best not to win it! This crazy game will definitely whet his/her appetite for the healthy snack waiting on the table!
Balloon and ribbons: This is the best race to have when you need to decorate for a party. Race to the finish line, blow up as many balloons as you can, and then tie them with ribbons and race back to the starting point. This may take a little time, and a few balloon blasts might just rupture your ear drums; but at least you don’t have to worry about further beautification of your home! Make sure you clean up the mess created by the kids before the guests arrive! So pull up your socks and give it your ‘worst’ shot at winning - all in order to motivate your kids to enjoy their noodle bowl race! Cheers!
